![]() LE SELVES DE LA FONT DU BROC ROSÉ 2006 A simpler blend than the Chateau Font du Broc, Les Selves is a blend of 60% Mourvèdre and 40% Grenache. A nose of strawberries with a hint of raspberries is subtle. In the mouth, the scents previously discovered, are expressed with more intensity. At first, this wine is powerful and complex before tapering off to a refreshing and fruity taste, offering floral, spice and mineral nuances. One of Provence’s finest rose’s. Based at the edge of the volcanic and acidic soils of the Maures Mountain Range, the clay and calcareous grounds (pH 8.5) of Château La Font du Broc produce wines with a mark of distinction, while expressing the indigenous taste of this Region. The exceptional terroir allows production to go beyond normal climatic limits, yielding wines of wonderful depth and complexity with excellent balance to the taste. Working in harmony with nature to protect the environment, Sylvain Massa designated his 250 acre vineyard a nature preserve, sheltering animals from poachers, while employing organic wine making techniques. Thanks to the Mediterranean Mistral, the vines remain healthy all year long without resorting to the use of insecticides. Wine-making • 20% bleeding, 80% direct pressing • Temperature highly controlled during fermentation • No malo-lactic fermentation • Yield: 25 hl/ ha Back |
